Job summary

SMT Technologies Sdn Bhd seeks a dedicated training specialist to design, deliver, and continuously improve technical training for manufacturing teams in Batu Kawan, Penang. The role emphasizes hands-on instruction, SOP development, and aligns with safety and quality standards.

You will work with engineers, technicians, and operators to close skill gaps, support equipment launches, and implement process improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering related field (Industrial Technology or Engineering preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver technical training for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct hands-on training for engineers, technicians and operators.
• Develop training materials including SOPs, work instructions, manuals and visual aids.
• Train employees on equipment setup, operation, changeovers, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure training aligns with safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, safety, and production leaders to identify skill gaps and training needs.
• Assist with new equipment launches, process changes, and technology upgrades.
• Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Superior.
