- Response and Resolution: You own, investigate, and solve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Readiness: You lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles and, where appropriate, share your knowledge.
- Technical Development: You develop specific technical and professional proficiency to enable you to resolve customer issues through training and readiness.
- Product/Process Improvement: You identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to resolve, contributing to Microsoft product improvements.
Qualifications (Text Only)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
- OR 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Own, troubleshoot, and solve customer technical issues, using collaboration, troubleshooting best practices, and transparency within and across teams (e.g., swarming).
- Identify cases that require escalation (either technically or strategically).
- Create and maintain incident management requests to product or engineering groups.
- Contribute to case deflection initiatives, automation, and other digital self-help assets to improve customer and engineer experience.
- Provide ramp activities, knowledge sharing, technical coaching, and mentoring.
- Drive technical collaboration and engagement outside of CSS (Product Engineering teams, Services, Support, Regions).
- Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles; may be workload or specialty specific.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in coding skills, e.g., Python, Java, Scala, or R.
- Azure Cloud platform experience.
- Experience with Big Data or Analytics Products and Services: Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive, Azure Databricks.
- Experience with Cloud/Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, SQL.
- Data Engineering expertise: ETL/ELT, Delta Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Data Governance.
- Familiarity with Open Source Ecosystem (Apache, etc.).
- Basic computer networking knowledge.
- Basic Linux knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both oral and written—and success in partnering with groups inside and outside of Microsoft.
- Effective learning skills, adaptability, and teamwork.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications (Preferred): Azure Data Engineer Associate.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
