A leading company in Property & Facilities Management is seeking a Technical Support expert to provide IT support across various platforms. This role focuses on troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing networks, and enforcing IT policies. Ideal candidates will have a relevant bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong communication and IT proficiency.
End User Support: Responsible for providing IT support and effective solutions to technical issues.
Hardware & Software Support: Provide comprehensive support for all hardware and software issues. Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
NAS and Network Management: Managed user accounts, file organization, and access controls on Synology NAS, while monitoring and troubleshooting network performance
Infrastructure Support: Provide comprehensive IT infrastructure support for the entire site, including servers, storage and network equipment.
IT Policies: Enforce IT/Security policies and procedures set by the company to ensure data protection, integrity and compliance with company standards.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement and maintenance of hardware and software. Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
System Monitoring: Monitor the performance of all IT systems, including servers, network infrastructure, and applications. Proactively identify and address potential issues.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the IT infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and service requests.
Assist in planning and implementing IT projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline.
Stay informed about the latest IT trends and technologies and make recommendations for their potential implementation within the organization.
Ensure data backups are performed regularly and develop and test disaster recovery plans.
Work with cross-functional teams, including IT staff, management, and end-users, to address IT-related challenges and requirements.
Assist in managing the IT budget and expenditures effectively.
Perform any other ad-hoc IT administrative activities as requested by HOD.
Some travel may be required.
Requirement:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
· A minimum of 2-3 years’ working experience is required.
Proficiency in various IT technologies, including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking, hardware troubleshooting, and software applications.
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential to interact with end-users and convey technical information effectively.
Experience with solving complex issues through internet research or vendor support, and aggressively working towards minimizing Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) is an advantage.
