Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Technical Specialist to join our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our GSE fleet, ensuring it operates at peak performance to support the aviation industry's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. GSE Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of ground support equipment, including baggage carts, tugs, loaders, and more.
2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with GSE equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain safe and efficient airport operations.
3. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure GSE remains in top working condition.
4. Component Replacement: Replace faulty components, engines, transmissions, and other GSE parts as needed, following manufacturer guidelines.
5. Calibration and Testing: Calibrate and test GSE equipment to meet safety and performance standards, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment status, maintenance logs, and parts inventory.
7. Safety Compliance: Ensure that GSE equipment complies with safety standards and regulations, making necessary adjustments and updates.
8. Training and Support: Provide technical training and support to GSE operators and maintenance personnel, ensuring they can operate equipment safely and effectively.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certification preferred.
2. Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment in an airport or aviation setting.
3. Strong knowledge of GSE systems, engines, and hydraulics.
4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
6. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
7. Familiarity with aviation safety regulations (e.g., FAA, IATA) is a plus.
