We have an opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join our regional team based in Pahang, Malaysia.

This Opportunity in A Nutshell:

As a Technical Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for operating and optimizing water treatment systems —including RO, boiler, cooling, and wastewater systems—at customer sites. You will support plant operations, monitor system performance, conduct lab testing, and provide detailed reporting to clients. This role requires collaboration with operations teams to ensure process efficiency and service excellence.

Some of the Things You’ll Do:

  • Provide technical support for water treatment systems (RO, boiler, cooling, and wastewater) at customer sites, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and chemical dosing.

  • Operate and adjust treatment systems to meet productivity and quality targets while ensuring safe, compliant practices.

  • Conduct water sampling, laboratory testing, and data analysis; prepare daily and monthly performance reports for customers.

  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and support commissioning, startup, and ongoing system improvements.

  • Collaborate with plant operators, technicians, and the Operations & Maintenance team to drive process efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, manage chemical inventory, and ensure proper housekeeping in service areas.

What You’ll Bring to Us:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial water treatment, utilities, or technical service within petrochemical or manufacturing sectors.

  • Solid knowledge of cooling, boiler, RO, and wastewater systems, including chemical treatment and plant equipment.

  • Proven skills in troubleshooting, system optimization, and technical support in complex industrial settings.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage plant teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experienced in supporting program startups, adjustments, and issue resolution alongside Account Managers or Engineers.

  • Proficient in technical reporting and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Based in Kuantan, Pahang, with flexibility to support other petrochemical plant sites as needed.
