Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales, customer engagement, and after-sales support for transmission systems and solutions across the ASEAN region. The role involves technical consulting, business development, and project coordination.

This individual will serve as a key technical interface between customers, agents, and internal engineering teams to expand brand presence, support sales activities, and deliver responsive customer service in the field of industrial drive systems (transmission and converters).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage key customers and promote industrial drive systems products across assigned territories.
  • Identify and engage potential customers; propose and recommend suitable gear solutions based on their technical and commercial requirements.
  • Increase market share and drive sales volume in the region through proactive outreach and solution selling.
  • Provide technical consultation on transmissions, gear systems, and converters.
  • Address customer inquiries and troubleshoot technical problems, including emergency support for product-related issues.
  • Prepare and deliver timely technical quotations in coordination with Hitachi Japan and local stakeholders.
  • Manage customer projects from requirement gathering through implementation and post-sales support.
  • Coordinate between sales teams and factories to ensure smooth communication and order fulfilment.
  • Support local sales agents with technical advice, training, and field visits.
  • Conduct customer visits and system demonstrations to build trust and showcase solution capabilities
Qualifications:
