Technical Recruiter (Immediate Hiring - Up to RM 6,500)

Job Title: Headhunter/Technical Recruiter

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Malaysia (5 days onsite)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (local time)

Basic Salary: Up to RM 6,500 (based on experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Talent Sourcer to join the team on a 12-month contract. This role is instrumental in building strong pipelines of niche and hard-to-find talent across Southeast Asia. You will play a vital role in supporting business growth by identifying and engaging passive candidates—particularly for high-skill, specialized technical roles.

This position is suited for professionals with a proven track record in niche sourcing, who are passionate about deep research, strategic outreach, and candidate engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively source, map, and engage niche and passive talent through advanced search techniques and platforms.

Act as a first-line ambassador, assessing candidate suitability and introducing them to the brand.

Conduct screening calls to evaluate technical skills, motivation, and alignment with the team culture.

Build and maintain targeted pipelines for specialized roles, with a strong focus on high-impact tech functions (e.g., engineers, data leads, tech managers).

Provide actionable sourcing data and market intelligence to recruiters and hiring managers.

Collaborate closely with recruiters and stakeholders to align sourcing efforts with hiring goals.

Contribute to inclusive hiring through diversity-focused sourcing strategies.

Leverage AI and automation tools to increase efficiency in identifying high-potential candidates.

Drive continuous improvement by testing and implementing new sourcing strategies.

Required Experience and Skills

5–10 years of experience in dedicated talent sourcing, with demonstrated success in filling niche or hard-to-fill roles.

Proven experience sourcing for technical functions such as software engineers, data scientists, engineering leads, etc.

Strong understanding of sourcing across Southeast Asia markets or other international regions.

Expert-level proficiency in sourcing tools and methods:

LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and X-ray search, AI-based platforms, talent mapping tools.

Exceptional communication skills — capable of influencing passive candidates and delivering strong candidate experience.

Highly analytical with the ability to present data-backed sourcing reports.

Able to work autonomously in a high-performance, fast-paced setting.

Strong stakeholder collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.

Application will not be considered if:

The candidate is a 360° or end-to-end recruiter without a strong sourcing specialization.

The profile lacks demonstrated experience in niche or technical talent sourcing.

The candidate has a background in mass or bulk hiring without exposure to specialized sourcing.

Sourcing is not a core focus of the candidate’s experience (i.e., generalist roles), end to end recruitment.
