We are looking for a skilled Technical Purchaser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and selecting suppliers for fabrication parts, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to meet project needs. You will manage supplier relationships, maintain accurate records, and ensure the seamless flow of materials from suppliers to the project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, negotiate, and select appropriate suppliers for fabrication parts based on project requirements and received PR/drawings.

Manage and maintain positive relationships with suppliers on the Approved Vendor List (AVL), monitoring supplier capacity and evenly distributing orders.

Report monthly on supplier loading and performance to ensure resource optimization.

Create and manage purchase orders, following up to ensure timely shipment and delivery of materials.

Ensure strong supplier relationship management, focusing on performance, quality adherence, and on-time delivery.

Develop new vendors capable of supporting specific project requirements and quality standards.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records for purchases, shipments, and procurement-related matters.

Resolve invoice discrepancies by working closely with accounts payable and vendors.

Take on additional tasks as required to support purchasing and procurement activities.

Job Qualifications:

At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.

Minimum of a Diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Significant experience working with fabrication vendors.

Proficiency in negotiation, customer service, and consulting skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical mechanical drawings.

Knowledge of metal finishing processes such as anodizing, polishing, hardening, and electroplating.

Familiarity with fabrication machinery, including CNC milling, lathe machines, EDM, and wire cutting machines.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with ERP systems, particularly MRP and purchasing modules.
