Sales Manager - Segment & Solution

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and implement proactive promotional activities for the assigned target audience to create market demand and need for specific features or products. Each day, you will identify and develop sales opportunities by introducing, presenting, and educating the target audience about ABB products and tools. You will also showcase your expertise by building long-term customer relationships. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid, Onsite #LI-Onsite. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings/Smart Power Business, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will mainly be accountable for:

  • Implementing proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the customer target group.
  • Creating plans for target audience visits and conducting regular status reviews, including analyzing and deriving insights from the visits.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their needs and ensure they are well-informed of ABB products, systems, services, features, and benefits.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and a strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques.
  • Providing customer support by responding to technical questions and performing electrical calculations for design institutes and technical consultants.
  • Communicating details with the target audience in accordance with ABB’s offerings and strategy.
  • Conducting or organizing appropriate training interventions to educate the target audience on ABB products, systems, services, and offerings.
  • Managing administrative tasks in technical promotion processes and creating reports based on organizational needs.
Qualifications for the role
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • More than 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design, sales support, and business development, dealing with consultants/designing parties and assisting in the tendering process (Specification).
  • Low Voltage and ELV products background and good knowledge of the electrical market.
  • Strong relationships or networks with M&E consultants and industry knowledge of Data Centers, general industry, semi-conductors are preferable.
  • Possesses good negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, positive attitude, team player, and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to travel 30%.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
