Who You Are:

Responsible for coordinating successful launch into production & volume ramp of LED products and/or technologies. This scope is worldwide/multi-regional and spans multiple functions across the organization. The position requires a technically grounded individual with a broad skill set and experience, emphasizing communication and issue resolution.

Position Summary:

Lumileds seeks a highly-qualified Technical Project Lead (Manager) to oversee the Development Life Cycle for Automotive and Non-Automotive Industries.

You will develop and support product development activities for new products, packages, and technologies.

This is an Individual Contributor role.

What You Will Do:

  • Define, plan, and execute Product Development programs (Automotive and Non-Automotive) according to BCP (Business Creation Process).
  • Lead product development tasks from early concept/prototyping through design, development, and product release (MPR).
  • Support worldwide R&D, TSM, and Product Marketing in executing new and customized product and technology roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (local and overseas) of engineers and technicians across disciplines such as materials, design, product lines, finance, SCM, PMO, quality, and reliability to ensure timely and robust product releases.
  • Work closely with internal and external product lines to ramp up new products to high volume after release, focusing on yield stabilization and improvement.
  • Utilize manufacturing process development experience (Automotive Standard), including process parameters, documentation, and industrial engineering fundamentals.
  • Ensure compliance with environment, security, health, and safety requirements.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

  • Minimum of seven years of engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, preferably in the LED industry.
  • Proven capability in Product Development Programs following Automotive product development processes (Business Creation Process; APQP).
  • Hands-on experience with Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Process Flow, Control Plan, and Failure Mode Effect & Analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Optics, Physics, Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
