Job summary

PerkinElmer Malaysia seeks a Technical Operator to perform basic mechanical assembly tasks, ensuring components are fitted, aligned, and secured according to specifications. The role requires manual dexterity and attention to detail in a production environment.

You will follow work instructions, inspect units, maintain a clean workstation, report defects, and support continuous improvement while upholding safety standards and PPE use.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly processes.
  • Ability to use simple hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers).
  • Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings or instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Assemble mechanical parts and components using hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, kitting WI and SOPs.
  • Inspect assembled units for accuracy, alignment, and quality compliance.
  • Perform minor adjustments or rework to meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Report defects, shortages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements.
  • Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and use PPE appropriately.
  • Perform other manufacturing‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production operations.

Purpose
