This role involves developing Safety Instrumented System plans, guiding facility development and leading safety workshops. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering fields, 18 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, and necessary certifications. Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of experience in Functional Safety within the oil and gas sector.
• Professional certification such as CFSE (exida), TÜV Functional Safety Engineer or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage complex safety systems and mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Safety Instrumented System (SIS) Lifecycle Plans and procedures.
• Provide expert guidance on Functional Safety across all phases of facility development.
• Lead and participate in HAZOP and LOPA workshops.
• Define and review Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and ensure SIL compliance.
• Manage functional safety consultants and subcontractors to deliver high-quality assessments.
• Oversee assurance tasks during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Perform SIL verification, guide engineers in data collection, and ensure cross-disciplinary alignment.
• Continuously improve safety practices and technical standards across the organization.
