Job summary

Themetech International (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead design for M&E projects in Kedah. You will manage concept through construction drawings, coordinate with architects, engineers and vendors, and review submissions for compliance.

Responsibilities include providing technical leadership on pre-construction and on-site, supporting procurement, and ensuring adherence to local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years' experience in design and construction, with at least 3 years on projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical power distribution, UPS, generators, fire protection).
• Experience with Tier-level design (Tier II–IV) and reliability/redundancy systems.
• Familiar with Malaysian authority submission processes (BOMBA, TNB, IWK, Local Council).

Responsibilities

• Lead the full design cycle for projects, including concept, detailed design, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, structural engineers, and specialist vendors to ensure seamless design integration.
• Review and approve design submissions, ensuring compliance.
• Identify design discrepancies and propose effective technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership during pre-construction and construction phases.
• Work closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues on site.
• Conduct regular design coordination meetings and technical reviews.
• Support procurement by evaluating technical proposals, materials, and equipment selection.
• Ensure all design and technical works comply with local authorities, building codes, and safety regulations.
