Position : Technical Chef

As part of our strategic growth, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Technical Chef (Culinary Sales Specialist/ Culinary Advisor) who will act as a bridge between culinary expertise and sales, supporting our customers by providing solutions, creating recipe concepts, and enhancing customer experience.

JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Culinary Advisory & Customer Support:

Identify customer technical needs, recommend suitable products and culinary solutions.

Provide recipe development and culinary R&D support for customers and internal sales teams.

Troubleshoot culinary and recipe issues, providing timely, practical advice and solutions.

Sales & Technical Engagement:

Regularly follow up with customers and prospects to ensure satisfaction and resolve any culinary-related issues.

Prepare and deliver effective culinary presentations and proposals, including detailed costing analyses for customer submissions.

Act as a bridge between culinary expertise and the sales process to drive business success.

Market Development & Events:

Plan, coordinate, and execute culinary workshops, demonstrations, roadshows, and other promotional events in collaboration with regional leaders.

Manage market lists, liaise, and assist visiting guest chefs from principals, ensuring smooth operations during event preparation (mise-en-place) and execution.

Reporting & Documentation:

Submit weekly proposals and reports, including visuals of culinary creations and development progress.

Maintain accurate and updated records of culinary wins/losses and customer feedback for management review.

Operational Management:

Oversee and maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and proper functioning of demonstration kitchen areas.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards during all culinary activities and events.

Work closely and maintain strong communication channels with the Sales Team to align culinary strategies with sales goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant culinary experience, ideally within Foodservice, Hospitality, or FMCG industry.

Proven track record in culinary innovation, recipe development, and product demonstrations.

Strong skills in food costing, recipe formulation, and kitchen management.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated, organized, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Willingness to travel occasionally for regional demonstrations or events.

Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other Mandarin dialects is an added advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
