Job description

The Technical Architect (Network) is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and support of complex network solutions. This role involves collaborating with teams to ensure project timelines are met, maintaining network infrastructure through preventive maintenance, and providing high level technical input for network projects. The Technical Architect also plays a key role in knowledge sharing and improving technical documentation to enhance team efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership and Guidance: Provide advanced technical advice and mentorship to Level 1 and 2 engineers, supporting their professional development and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Provide onsite or offsite support on incidents that involve multiple technical domains to customers, prepare or review incident reports as needed, and update incident tickets promptly in the FSMS system. Assist in generating problem management reports to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Project Deployment & Documentation: Take the lead in project deployment that involves multiple products, ensuring deployment aligns with project timelines. Provide input for project documentation, capturing and updating technical issues for lessons learned.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Conduct project testing and commissioning with customers to ensure solutions meet their requirements.
  • Operational & Administrative Support: Participate in critical support when required. Ensure timely updates of installation tickets in FSMS and maintain accurate timesheets in the Intranet system.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Provide input for the development of project documentation and capture lessons learned during project implementation. Conduct a minimum of two knowledge-sharing sessions annually to enhance team skills and share best practices.
  • Service Review: Conduct CTC service reviews before project closure, ensuring customer requirements have been met and gathering feedback for future improvements.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), or an equivalent field.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of TCP/IP routing, network packet analysis tools, and network configuration. Proficiency with network components such as Cisco products and related technologies.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of hands-on network technical experience, with a proven track record in managing complex network projects.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proven ability to articulate technical solutions and remedial action plans to customers and internal teams.
  • Customer Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships effectively, ensuring that technical issues are resolved swiftly and satisfactorily.
