Job summary

Tentacle Tech in Malaysia is seeking a Technical Architect - Data & AI to design and lead enterprise-scale data, analytics, AI, and Generative AI solutions, bridging business needs with technology. You will define architectures for data platforms, lakehouse patterns, and scalable ML pipelines across AWS/Azure/GCP, while aligning with GovTech standards and GCC governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in solution architecture and enterprise data/AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and services such as Azure Synapse, Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock.
• Proficiency in data technologies including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, data modeling, data governance, and real-time streaming.
• Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and responsible AI principles.
• Programming skills in Python, SQL, and Spark/PySpark; working knowledge of DevOps/MLOps tooling including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and MLflow.
• Familiarity with Malaysia Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), GovTech compliance, and public sector experience in Malaysia.
• Willingness to work on high-impact, enterprise-scale Data and AI engagements in the technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, and Generative AI solutions, translating business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps.
• Design data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures, including batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks.

• Design cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, covering infrastructure, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Ensure solutions align with Malaysia Government technology standards, GCC governance, and GovTech security requirements.
• Engage with business leaders and technical teams; present architecture solutions to executives and mentor engineering teams.

As a Technical Architect - Data & AI, you will take ownership of designing and leading the implementation of enterprise-scale Data, Analytics, AI, and Generative AI solutions. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technology, collaborating closely with stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative data-driven outcomes including engagements within Malaysia's public sector and government technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

About you

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

10+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Solution Architecture, with strong expertise in enterprise Data and AI solutions.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and associated services such as Azure Synapse, Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, and AWS Bedrock.

Proficiency in data technologies including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, data modeling, data governance, and real-time streaming.

Experience with AI and ML lifecycle management, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and responsible AI principles.
