• Building data driven SaaS tools that help airlines make informed commercial decisions from; routes, maintenance, demand planning, operations and forecast models
• Tech stack: Angular 19 & RxJS, Nest.js, AWS, Databricks, Node,js, MongoDB, Micro-services, CI/CD

Projects

• 2 core SaaS products that are mature - actively used by customers & continuously evolving.
• 1 successful data product is already in place that provides market insights from the supply side. A new data product targeting the demand side is currently in its initial phase, with significant development and scaling planned for H2 2025 and into 2026

Responsibilities

• Create and lead development team in executing technical roadmap and guard coding best practices
• Taking ownership of projects from architecture, design, build and maintain customer-facing applications
• Collaborate closely with product managers (in EU) to define and design feature specifications
• Coach & mentor junior developers - conduct code reviews and lead by example
• Identify technical risk throughout Systems development life cycle and suggest mitigation options

Team Org & Culture

• Reporting to either the Head of Engineering who has relocated from EU to Malaysia
• Entrepreneurial and ambitious team from Malaysia and Europe, which include ex management consultants
• The engineering hub in KL (15 staff) supports software development, data engineering and analytics

Must Have

• Proficiency in Typescript / Javascript full stack engineering - experience in designing and developing scalable, user-facing solutions
• Proven experience in leading a team of engineers - mentored and promoted them
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks / AWS cloud infrastructure

Grade / Level

• Highly technical role and is suitable for lead / staff / principal engineers to apply
• 8 to 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid with 3 days work from office
• Based in Bangsar South / KL Gateway (Close to MRT / LRT)
