Job description

Identify project objectives and scope upon receiving a Request for Quotation (RFQ), including general product requirements and specifications.

Project Initiation:
  1. Kick-off with multi-disciplinary departments such as R&D, Process (PE & NPI), Quality, and Business Units (Sales & Marketing).
  2. Develop an initial project plan, timeline, cost budget, and workforce plan.
Resource Management:
  1. Lead and manage the project development team to meet timelines and milestones.
  2. Handle project changes, negotiate with customers for final approval, and communicate feedback to Business Units regarding costs.
  3. Manage BOM costs for additional features/functions for customer quotations.
  4. Lead APQP activities and follow up on PPAP and Design Review processes.
Time Management:
  1. Create project timelines with key milestones aligned with customer schedules.
  2. Detail schedules for T0, T1, T2, and sample builds including SMT, soldering, adjustments, mounting, and QC validation.
  3. Oversee submission of QC validation samples and documentation.
  4. Manage readiness of KA specs, AA views, XY data, insertion maps, stencil fabrication, and BOM lists.
  5. Coordinate production testing jig setup and line readiness with PE.
  6. Manage testing scripts and parameters with the development team.
  7. Oversee product validation reports and customer audits.
  8. Adjust schedules as needed to meet customer requirements and ensure timely completion of activities.
Budget Management:
  1. Estimate and set project budgets.
  2. Monitor and control costs throughout project execution.
Communication:
  1. Manage customer communications and provide project status updates via meetings.
  2. Facilitate updates from project team members and report progress to management.
  3. Address issues and conflicts proactively.
  4. Conduct progress reviews post-MP to ensure supply chain continuity.
  5. Identify potential risks and assess their impact.
Change Management:
  1. Manage ECR and ECN processes affecting cost, process, schedule, and scope.
  2. Ensure all changes are documented and approved.
Project Closure:
  1. Ensure all deliverables are completed and accepted.
  2. Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned.
