As a Tech Hardware Specialist (Arduino & PCB) at Bomb Battle, you will play a key role in designing, developing, programming, and integrating hardware systems that power our immersive game attractions. You will work closely with the software development, creative, and operations teams to build high-performance, interactive, and reliable systems that bridge physical devices with digital game mechanics.
Hardware Development & Integration
- Design and develop custom hardware components (e.g., sensors, triggers, controllers, motors, lighting).
- Integrate hardware with game engines, IoT platforms, or proprietary control software.
- Interface with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32) and embedded systems.
- Develop and test circuit boards for custom game logic.
Firmware & Device Programming
- Write and deploy firmware for embedded systems to control game hardware.
- Develop communication protocols (e.g., I2C, UART, SPI, RS-485, MQTT) between hardware components and servers.
- Optimize real-time response and latency of devices during game operation.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in hardware across all Bomb Battle attractions.
- Support outlet teams during breakdowns and ensure swift recovery and minimal downtime.
- Maintain hardware documentation and version control of firmware builds.
System Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct rigorous QA testing on new hardware modules before deployment.
- Run load/stress tests to ensure durability under high-usage scenarios.
- Work with the operations team to simulate real-world conditions and safety compliance.
R&D & Innovation
- Research and propose new hardware technologies (e.g., RFID, LIDAR, capacitive touch, motion sensors) to improve gameplay.
- Prototype new game mechanics involving physical interaction.
- Collaborate on new tech-driven attractions, such as interactive walls, projection mapping triggers, or real-world arcade conversions.
,
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Proven experience with embedded programming (C/C++, Python, Arduino IDE).
- Solid understanding of electronics, PCBs, circuits, and sensor-based systems.
- Experience integrating hardware with Unity/Unreal/IoT platforms is a plus.
- Familiar with troubleshooting tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer).
- Passion for games, entertainment tech, and creative problem-solving.
