Job summary

WD is seeking a production support technician for the online support shift in our semiconductor manufacturing facility in Penang. The role focuses on ensuring equipment performance to meet quality, yield, cost, and cycle-time goals, while reporting status and issues to the EE Leader and Engineers.

Responsibilities include conducting final product tests, maintaining 6S standards, reducing machine downtime, and assisting engineers with project follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in semiconductor manufacturing with maintenance/troubleshooting of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work shifts to support continuous production line.
• Ensure equipment performs to quality, yield, cost, utilization, and cycle time goals.
• Report online machine status and issues to EE Leader and Engineer promptly.
• Conduct final product tests and conversions to maintain quality.
• Implement and uphold 6S on the production line.
• Assist technical team to reduce downtime and improve MTBA/MTBF.
• Support Engineers with project follow-up.
• Train operators on machine operation and improve skills.
• Manage spare parts and tracking records.
