Job Summary

The RTR Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing the Record to Report function. This position ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of financial reporting processes while driving team performance and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The RTR Supervisor acts as a strategic partner to stakeholders and plays a pivotal role in achieving APSSC goals through exceptional leadership and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Provide clear vision, direction, and support to the team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set challenging yet achievable team goals aligned with broader organizational objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Proactively manage resource capacity and balance workloads, ensuring team efficiency while accommodating business needs and employee well-being.

2. Performance Optimization

  • Lead ongoing performance dialogues, addressing employee challenges with tailored support and solutions.
  • Establish a structured performance review process, providing constructive feedback to individual team members and the collective team.
  • Identify skill gaps and create customized training and development plans to empower team members and build capability.

3. Driving Continuous Improvement

  • Inspire the team to identify and implement innovative process improvements, focusing on automation, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives that streamline workflows, reduce redundancies, and enhance overall service delivery.
  • Regularly evaluate the success of improvement efforts, sharing updates and results with the team and stakeholders.

4. Effective Communication

  • Act as a key liaison between the RTR team, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Communicate organizational priorities and updates effectively, tailoring messages to diverse audiences for clarity and impact.
  • Foster a culture of open communication where team members feel empowered to share insights, concerns, and feedback.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clarity and impact.

8. Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management

  • Enforce adherence to organizational policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements within the RTR team.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, emphasizing accountability and ethical conduct.
  • Actively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure process integrity and operational continuity.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in RTR or a related finance role, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
