Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Operations Team Leader to join our team! This role efficiently leads Operators Processing and Operators Packaging, production activities and developing collaborative partnerships with colleagues. Delivering the agreed to business and plant results while maintaining positive employee relations. The primary accountabilities of the role include daily production schedule adherence, quality, EHS, logistics, production financial performance, labor relations, people and team development.

What you will do:

Finishing line Operations

  • Ensure compliance to changeover procedures and storage of end run materials
  • Attend to breakdown maintenance of finishing equipment’s
  • Ensure compliance to Autonomous maintenance schedules
  • Ensure compliance to verification process for critical controls on finishing lines as per the defined frequency
  • Report any discrepancies observed

Support making operation as per Quality & Global standards

  • Verify batches are manufactured as per log-sheet
  • Verify compliance to changeover procedures
  • Ensure key release specification check per batch by operators

Shared responsibility with Plant Microbiologist in Cleaning & Sanitization

  • Understand Cleaning & Sanitization procedure & ensure that the Cleaning & Sanitization frequencies are followed
  • Review Cleaning & Sanitization process & ensure Cleaning & Sanitization documentation
  • Cleaning & Sanitization status labeling on equipment’s

Calibration

  • Ensure critical measuring equipment in Finishing are calibrated/verified as per the defined frequency

Critical control point monitoring

  • Ensure that critical controls are monitored as per the Critical Control points
  • Report any discrepancy observed

On-Line Quality

  • Understand On-line Quality protocols
  • Ensure the product quality evaluation as per the protocol
  • Ensure defective stocks are segregated to avoid accidental mix-up
  • Ensure defective stocks are re-worked for observed defects
  • Verify quantification of line rejections & their disposal
  • Ensures that the finishing line technicians undertake Online Quality & weight control
  • Investigate & implement Corrective & Preventive Action for observed discrepancies in product quality
  • Ensure basic Good Manufacturing Practice norms are followed in the operations area
  • Support employee training & development
  • Notifies the defect observed & the quantum of the defective stocks produced.
  • Ensures the segregation, labeling, rework of the defective stocks.
  • Undertake Investigation & root cause analysis for the rejection
  • Notify finished goods rejection, if any & ensure that nonconformance notification is raised in SAP
  • Ensure safety of people and equipment in day to day operations
  • Reports any Environmental Health & Safety incident from shift on timely basis
  • Implements Factory Performance & Reliability and Environmental Health & Safety standards in day to day operations
  • Review production line report for downtime analysis & updates downtime reporting system
  • Raise eMOC as and when required.
  • Overall responsible for shift operations in the Finishing and Making Area

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience and above in the Manufacturing environment will be advantaged.
  • Good command of English Communication (both writing and speaking).
  • Growth Mindset
  • Ability to prioritize critical responsibilities and multi-task to meet various deadlines.
  • Drive cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives at the plant to support Funding the Growth initiative.
  • Participate in driving the employee engagement strategy to maintain positive employee relations
