Team Leader, Fixed Income Content Operations
Role Summary
LSEG Fixed Income Data Department is responsible for the collection, analysis, coordinated entry, data quality management and service of the full bond life cycle data operations of fixed income data in Asian Chinese, Japanese and Korean markets. The data are directly reflected in the company's core products Eikon and Workplace, which provide detailed data and services for the fixed income departments of financial institutions.
Purpose of this role is to enable LSEG to service its clients by the operational management of resources, to deliver agreed services to specification, by running the operation efficiently and by being able to absorb and handle change at a rate consistent with overall business needs. You will focus on staff motivation, development and allocation; supervising performance against tight Service Metrics timelines. Effectively handle client expectations is a key requirement. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to a team of, typically, 15-20 employees (performance management, staff development, succession planning, mentor and communication).
- Recruit, lead and ensure effective training to achieve high professional operational standards.
- Customer Management, liaising closely with Product teams, production teams, development teams, Content Specialists, Business Managers and clients across boundaries.
- Performance management, with the ability to lead teams
- Process design, deployment and execution.
- Empower, support and develop staff to improve and maintain the ability to adapt to the changing requirements of a continuously evolving business environment
- Management of service impacting issues, including client and internal customer concerns.
- Driving improvements in service and quality.
- Drive innovation and automation within the organization to improve efficiency, service and quality.
- Succession planning, building bench strength and staff development.
Required Skills:- Experience in performance & people management.
- An understanding of financial markets in general.
- Solid understanding on project planning & delivery with experience of working on medium and large projects.
- Ability to work towards and deliver against tight timelines and commitments by optimally prioritizing and delegating constantly changing business priorities.
- Customer management with a record of building balanced working relationships with key customers.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and individuals across boundaries.
- Excellent communication and soft skills.
- Knowledge of Service & Quality as it applies to the content organization and proven record of driving improvements in this area.
- Flexible for working in night shifts
- Prior experience of finding opportunities and implementing automation within data management processes to drive efficiencies and/or improve quality of data.
- The applicant should be in a people management role for minimum of 1.5 or 2 years
