Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a Team Lead for Risk Analytic Intelligence & Surveillance within the CFS R & P unit, onsite at Wisma Lee Rubber. The role focuses on strengthening risk surveillance, analytic models, and timely risk remediation across Internal Audit, Compliance, and business lines.

The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, advanced analytics capabilities, and experience in AML/compliance frameworks to drive effective governance and strategic risk insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and strong analytical skills.
• Experience leading risk analytics or audit teams is preferred.
• Solid understanding of AML, compliance, operational risk frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance risk surveillance methodologies and analytical models.
• Monitor risk indicators, alerts, and cases with timely follow-up.
• Review quality and effectiveness of risk assessments and investigations.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Compliance, and business units for timely closure of findings.
• Escalate significant risks and trends to management; drive data‑driven risk intelligence.

What you do -The Team Lead role is responsible for:* Maintaining and continuously enhancing risk surveillance methodologies and analytical models.* Monitoring and tracking identified risk indicators, alerts, and flagged cases to ensure timely follow-up and resolution by relevant stakeholders.* Reviewing and validating the quality and effectiveness of risk assessments and investigations.* Collaborating closely with Internal Audit, Compliance, and business units to ensure timely closure of audit findings, compliance observations, and control gaps.* Escalating significant risk issues and emerging trends to management to facilitate informed decision-making and effective risk mitigation.* Driving data-driven risk intelligence initiatives to strengthen the Bank's overall risk oversight and governance capabilities.**Key Candidate Profile**We are seeking a candidate with the following key attributes:* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks from complex datasets.* Proven leadership capabilities to manage stakeholders across multiple functions and drive timely risk remediation actions.* Deep understanding of risk management, AML, compliance, operational risk, and market conduct surveillance frameworks.* Experience in data analytics, intelligence gathering, surveillance systems, and risk reporting.* Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to present complex risk matters clearly to senior management.* Proactive, highly accountable, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.* Ability to balance regulatory requirements, business objectives, and operational effectiveness in a dynamic environment.Who you are - A degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, or business administration - At least 3 years of experience in audit or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Who we are As Singapore's longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932.
