Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Onboarding Team Lead to oversee and streamline the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth, engaging, and compliant experience for new employees, while leading and mentoring a team of onboarding specialists to meet operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead & Manage Team:
  2. Supervise the HR onboarding team to ensure the delivery of seamless onboarding processes.
  3. Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  4. Monitor team workload and productivity; provide regular performance feedback.
  5. Onboarding Operations:
  6. Oversee the full onboarding cycle, including document collection, pre-employment checks, HRIS entry, induction coordination, and Day 1 readiness.
  7. Ensure all onboarding activities comply with labor laws, company policies, and audit requirements.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Talent Acquisition, IT, Payroll, Operations) to deliver a consistent onboarding experience.
  9. Process Improvements:
  10. Identify gaps and propose improvements to the onboarding framework, SOPs, and templates.
  11. Implement automation or process enhancements to improve turnaround time and employee experience.
  12. Stakeholder Management:
  13. Act as the main point of contact for hiring managers and senior stakeholders on onboarding matters.
  14. Provide timely updates and reports on onboarding status, risks, and resolutions.
  15. Reporting & Compliance:
  16. Maintain accurate onboarding records and trackers.
  17. Generate dashboards and metrics for management review.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and employment compliance practices.
  • Experience with HRIS and onboarding systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
