A leading university is seeking a Team Lead for Accounts Payable to oversee financial processes and ensure adherence to policies. The role involves supervising a team, managing cash flow, and engaging in the annual audit exercise, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Group Account Payable, cash flow projection, treasury and payment
Responsibilities
Creation of main policies and procedures for account payable unit
Supervise/Review the receipt of invoices, verification, record of transaction, and expense
Examine all vouchers posted and direct them into accounts payable system for accuracy before check is signed
Resolve all payments or billing issues with vendors and operation unit on timely basis.
Manage petty cashier reimbursement and ensure validity of petty cash.
Supervise account payable team to ensure they are following policies and procedures
Create and implement goals, objectives, standards, and procedures for accounts payable unit, together with departmental management personnel
Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
Handling treasury and banking matters, communication to banks, user access, and assist in bank reconciliation.
Prepare Group cash flow reporting and manage weekly cash flow.
Ensure sufficient internal control & audit for business sustainability and growth.
Ad-Hoc job requirements to assist the Group Financial Controller and Group Chief Financial Officer.
Be involved in the annual statutory audit exercise, tax compliance filing & submission.
Be involved in internal control process and governance audit for Finance department. To ensure timely, accurate and efficient financial systems, processes, reporting and statutory compliance.
To perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Proven experience at a mid-level in a commercial environment for a minimum 5 years' experience.
Minimum Degree in Accounting or relevant qualification.
Good interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with team and business partners throughout the organization.
Attention to detail and effective communication and presentation skills are required.
Ability to think critically and grasp new concepts quickly.
Ability to take initiative and drive for success.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Flexible, organized and able to work under time constraints and deadlines.
