Teacher Recruitment and Training Executive

1. Source, Recruit, and Train Ideal Teachers
To support I Can Read’s mission and ensure consistent academic excellence across Malaysia.

2. Collaborate with Senior Management
Ensure that all I Can Read Malaysia centres deliver programmes to the highest standard, enhancing student retention and growth.

A. Sourcing

Take full responsibility for sourcing teacher candidates to meet both forecasted and unplanned staffing needs.

Develop and maintain a teacher sourcing pipeline to ensure a pool of qualified candidates.

Build and manage strategic relationships with recruitment agencies and partners.

B. Recruitment and Selection

Conduct interviews with suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

Coordinate with franchisees to arrange second interviews if necessary.

Draft and issue Letters of Offer and Health Declaration Forms for successful candidates.

C. Teacher Onboarding and Pre-Deployment Training

Ensure new hires are fully prepared for deployment.

Deliver the formal pre-deployment teacher training programme.

Conduct HR orientation sessions to ensure understanding of the Employment Agreement and Employee Handbook.

Perform post-training follow-up, teaching observations, and feedback sessions as part of the teacher confirmation and professional development process.

D. Ongoing Academic Support

Forecast and provide academic coaching or retraining for teachers as needed.

Offer support and guidance to centre staff to maintain academic quality.

Plan and deliver workshops and seminars aligned with Singapore HQ's professional development framework.

Collaborate with the Academic Team at Singapore HQ to deliver training for curriculum updates, holiday, and ad hoc programmes.

Secondary Responsibilities

E. Operational and Marketing Support

Assist with arranging Relief Teachers during shortages.

Review and edit marketing materials, brochures, and articles.

Support the organisation of events, roadshows, exhibitions, and seminars.

Work with franchise partners to uphold academic standards across all Malaysian centres.

Coordinate with the Professional Development Manager (Singapore HQ) on teacher development initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (required)

TESOL, CELTA, or DELTA certification (required)

Master’s degree in Education Administration, Human Resources, or Business (advantageous)

Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in the ESL industry (required)

Recruitment and HR/training experience (required)

Ability to build and manage a teacher network across Malaysia

Strong interpersonal and partnership development skills

Excellent command of English – written and spoken

Confident in presenting and conducting training for large groups

Highly organized and proactive, with strong planning skills

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities

Independent and resourceful with strong research skills

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

High level of professionalism and integrity
