Sunway International School (SIS) Sunway Iskandaris seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Mandarin Teacher. The incumbent will play an integral role in delivering high-quality Mandarin language lessons to students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop engaging teaching materials tailored to the IBDP Mandarin curriculum, ensuring their effective delivery in the classroom.
• Deliver instructional activities that foster an active learning environment and encourage student engagement in meaningful learning experiences.
• Select, adapt, and modify instructional resources to accommodate the diverse learning needs, backgrounds, and abilities of students.
• Assess evolving curriculum needs and proactively recommend strategies for improvement to ensure effective teaching and learning.
• Promote continuous student growth and academic achievement, ensuring alignment with age-appropriate expectations, subject areas, and programme objectives.
• Maintain clear, and consistent communication with students, parents, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing, to support student success.
• Contribute to extra-curricular activities, including providing guidance and counselling to students, grading placement/readiness assessments, and assisting with school promotion and marketing initiatives.
• Perform administrative duties related to teaching such as recording student attendance, monitoring participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and invigilating examinations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and/ or Language is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Mandarin at the IBDP level.
• Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
