Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a Tax professional to join the Finance Operations Centre in Penang. You will prepare corporate income tax schedules, support monthly close, and liaise with tax authorities across APAC.

Responsibilities include end-to-end tax compliance, analytical reviews of operating performance, and process improvements. Degree in finance/accounting and 3+ years in tax (Big 4 preferred) are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting with relevant tax experience.
• Strong knowledge in Corporate Income Tax.
• Self-starter able to work independently and interface with internal teams.
• Analytical, detail-oriented with good communication skills.
• Mandarin language knowledge is a plus for APAC support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules for Corporate Income Tax Compliance (US/Local Tax reporting) from reporting to payment submission.
• Support monthly close and drive regional process improvements.
• Be the first contact for end-to-end corporate income tax compliance and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Perform tax-related analyses of operating and business performance for APAC countries.
• Assist with tax audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Tax is a function within the MSI Finance Operations Center in Penang. MSI Finance Operations Centre is recognized as trusted partner to customers, suppliers and employees providing excellent service and quality support. Our department supports wide range of Motorola Solutions businesses and operations finance functions across APAC. We are responsible on all related business accounting and compliance reporting and making sure we provide great level of support to our business partners within APAC in all finance areas.

Job Description

• Responsible to prepare schedules in relations to Corporate Income Tax Compliance tasks(US/LocalTaxreporting)from reporting to payment submission
• Support on monthly closing activities and identify and drive process improvements to align regional processes
• Be the first point of contact for the supporting country for end to end corporate income tax compliance activities – Liaise with tax consultant and tax authority as and when required
• Support the internal teams by performing tax related analysis of the operating and business performance for the countries.
• Identify and highlighting any potential risks and issues fromIncome TaxCompliance perspective.
• Responsible for timely monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation by ensuring documentation are in compliance with Motorola Solutions’ Accounting Policies and procedures
• Assist in establishing strong internal operational environment through process improvements and projects.
• Liaise with officer from tax authorities and tax agents in the event of tax audit.
• Any other tax ad-hoc duties.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting with at least 3 years of relevant tax experience from Big 4 Firm (preferable).
• Strong knowledge in Corporate Income Tax
• Prefer to have good working knowledge in Excel
• Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and interface with all relevant internal teams and external business partners is needed
• Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conceptualize
• Diligent, attention to detail, ability to manage time and work flow, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
• Knowledge in Mandarin language is a plus as need to support APAC regions like Hong Kong/China
