Job description

ZALORA Malaysia is looking for a motivated Tax Senior Analyst to join our South East Asia (“SEA”) tax team. This role will be working closely with tax manager and head of tax for all tax matters across various type of taxes (such as withholding tax, corporate income tax, sales and service tax, value added tax, goods and services tax, transfer pricing, etc).

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in both direct and indirect tax submission and compliance matters of the SEA entities to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, government agencies, tax consultants and other external parties on all tax matters for the SEA entities.
  • Assist in ad-hoc advisory and project for the SEA entities.
  • Assist in transfer pricing (“TP”) documentation including CBCR report.
  • Assist in tax audits for entities under the SEA entities.
  • Keep abreast of the latest tax development and assist in preparing tax updates/training to the relevant business /operating units.
  • Assist in preparing tax budget forecast and periodical tax accounting report for the SEA entities.
  • Other ad hoc projects related to finance and tax matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / CPA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant tax working experience in an accounting firm or commercial in-house tax department.
  • Efficient, positive and proactive attitude with ability to think out of box.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
