Job summary

PwC Malaysia invites an Associate to join our Tax Payroll Services practice. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing for client organisations, ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements, and delivering timely payroll reports.

This role involves advising clients on payroll legislation and collaborating across PwC’s network. You will support statutory returns, payroll disbursements, and registrations with authorities, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and client

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, Business Admin, Accounting or related field.
• One to two years of relevant experience within the payroll domain.
• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, EPF, SOCSO, Income Tax and other statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in payroll software applications, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing for client batch headcounts, including data processing.
• Prepare and submit periodic statutory returns to authorities (Income Tax, EPF, SOCSO, HRDF, Tabung Haji).
• Prepare and disburse approved net salary via electronic banking to designated banks.
• Provide payroll statutory compliance services (Form E and Form EA).
• Prepare payroll reports for clients and register employers/employees with authorities.
• Notify IRB of new employees and apply for tax file numbers.
• Advise clients on applicable payroll legislation and manage deliverables to meet timelines.
• Follow risk management and compliance procedures and collaborate effectively.
