Job summary

TGV CINEMAS SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, audits, planning, and transfer pricing across the group. You will liaise with the tax authorities, coordinate with external advisers, and drive proactive tax advisory initiatives to optimize corporate tax and indirect taxes.

The role requires a strong technical foundation in Malaysian tax regulations, plus experience in a public listed or multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CTIM, or equivalent).
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a public listed company or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian direct and indirect tax regulations, including corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
• Proven experience in managing tax audits, tax authority engagements, and tax compliance reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide practical tax advisory support.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance obligations, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax filings.
• Handle tax audits, including responding to queries, liaising with tax authorities, and coordinating with external advisers.
• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory support on all direct and indirect tax matters to optimize compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare and/or review transfer pricing documentation and manage related transfer pricing matters.
• Monitor and evaluate local tax developments, keeping management informed of potential impacts on the Group's operations and financial position.
• Handle applications for tax rulings, exemptions, and confirmations with tax authorities, where required.
