About the role

Join ECBA SDN. BHD. as a Tax Assistant/Tax Senior based in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to our growing client base.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and reviewing income tax returns and other tax-related filings for individual and corporate clients

Providing advice and guidance to clients on tax legislation, regulations and compliance requirements

Assisting with tax audits and investigations, and representing clients in dealings with tax authorities

Staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and updating internal processes accordingly

Contributing to the development of tax-related tools, templates and training materials

Mentoring and supervising more junior members of the tax team

What we're looking for

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

1 years' experience in tax compliance and advisory work, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate in-house tax department

Excellent knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercial tax advice

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients

Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team
