Job Description

The Tax Analyst (Transfer Pricing) is responsible for managing transfer pricing matters within the SLB group of entities and partnering with multiple stakeholders to provide support on transfer pricing and tax audit issues. This role involves identifying related party transactions, preparing related party transaction matrices, computing gross margins at the entity level for various business segments, and assisting with transfer pricing reports and reviews of benchmarking reports prepared by external consultants. The Tax Analyst will also support tax audits, including transfer pricing audits, by preparing responses and documentation for submission to tax authorities, and assist with the review of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR).

Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Transfer Pricing
  • Preparing TP matrices by identifying related party transactions from the general ledger.
  • Calculating profit/loss margins for intercompany products/services.
  • Preparing transfer pricing documentation.
  • Liaising with geounit tax managers.
Tax Audit
  • Preparing tax schedule reconciliations and breakdowns (e.g., income tax, VAT/WHT, payroll).
  • Reconciling data from trial balance, general ledger, and local tax reports.
  • Extracting and compiling supporting documents from ERP systems.
  • Analyzing transactions for variance and nature.
  • Reviewing WHT treatment and reasons for non-deduction.
  • Liaising with other teams for reconciliation purposes.
CbCR
  • Providing ad-hoc support on CbCR reporting.
  • Reviewing figures input by tax analysts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified members of ACCA, CIMA, MIA, MACPA, CPA Australia, or equivalents.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of international taxation.
  • Proficiency in languages relevant to assigned geographic responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, eager to learn.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
