Job summary

Moore Advent Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking a Tax Assistant Manager / Tax Manager (Tax Advisory) to lead and deliver advisory engagements for Malaysian clients. You will coordinate cross-division and cross-border assignments and provide technical oversight on tax compliance matters arising from advisory work.

The role requires strong technical tax knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with senior management, clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, taxation, law or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of relevant Malaysian tax advisory and compliance experience.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and ability to interpret tax law.
• Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage engagements independently with senior management, clients and regulators.

Responsibilities

• To manage and deliver the Company's tax advisory engagements.
• To support and coordinate cross-division and cross-border assignments.
• To provide technical oversight on tax compliance matters arising from advisory engagements.
• To monitor and update technical, regulatory, business and industry developments relevant to clients and the profession.
• To develop technical materials, publications, training programmes and seminars for internal and external audiences.
• To establish and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, business associates and regulators.
• To contribute to tax technology, automation and AI implementation projects.
• To collaborate and mentor, and contribute to growth and strategic direction of the practice.
• To undertake other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.
