About the job

This is a strategic leadership role within the HR function where you will design and drive end-to-end talent acquisition strategies for the Penang operations. You will work closely with business leaders and the regional HR team to build strong talent pipelines, manage employer branding initiatives, and optimize recruitment processes. Your role will focus on attracting both operational and leadership talent to support the company’s growth and capability-building plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full recruitment life cycle, from talent sourcing, assessment, and selection to offer management and onboarding
  • Partner with functional leaders to understand workforce needs and develop proactive hiring strategies aligned with business growth
  • Source talent and build strong talent pipelines through platforms such as JobStreet, LinkedIn, and internal channels, as well as through partnerships with universities and industry networks
  • Strengthen employer branding through recruitment marketing, employee referral programs, and participation in industry and campus engagement activities
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes and tools to enhance efficiency, compliance, and candidate experience
  • Manage onboarding processes and ensure timely completion of hiring documentation and system updates
  • Utilize recruitment data and market insights to refine sourcing strategies and support workforce planning
  • Lead and coach a small recruitment team and manage partnerships with external search agencies where required
  • Collaborate closely with the wider HR team to align talent acquisition with succession planning, diversity & inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure hiring practices comply with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in HRM, Business, or related degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with proven success in managing the full recruitment cycle
  • Experience in high-volume hiring for manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly preferred
  • Skilled in using sourcing platforms such as JobStreet, LinkedIn, and internal talent channels
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and leadership teams
  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment reporting, and basic data analysis
  • Results-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and able to speak Chinese
