What Will You Do?

Responsibilities

You are the lifeblood of the company, tasked with making sure we have the right people in place to realize our vision of becoming the best hospitality group in Asia. As a candidate’s first point of contact with the company, you will embody the culture and values that drive this company forward. We view ourselves as a scrappy start-up and as a vital member of the team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. Broadly, responsibilities as part of this role include:

Talent Acquisition
  • Recruiting top-notch talent for the Ormond Group;
  • Supporting strategic growth of the Group during periods of aggressive expansion;
  • Advising, consulting, and implementing best practices to support expansion and streamline recruitment processes;
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with hiring managers to determine expectations and requirements for current and future open positions; partnering and consulting with them to develop sourcing strategies that meet staffing needs while reducing cycle time and costs;
  • Organizing logistics around job description writing, resume selection, pre-qualification, interviews, and candidate flow management;
  • Managing the identification and attraction of talent through innovative tools, including digital and social media recruitment, as well as traditional methods;
  • Generating qualified, diverse candidates through cost-effective methods such as leveraging networks, sourcing passive candidates, and utilizing employee referral programs;
  • Conducting preliminary interviews and obtaining feedback from management and candidates; and
  • Creating and managing a positive candidate experience from initial contact through offer negotiation.
Employer Branding
  • Initiating activities for employer branding deployment in the market, working with Marketing & Branding departments to adapt materials for a cohesive brand image;
  • Understanding and utilizing candidates’ interests to tailor compelling marketing messages; and
  • Acting as an employer brand ambassador to attract candidates to Ormond Group.
Campus Recruitment
  • Managing end-to-end graduate recruitment programs such as Management Associate and Internship Programs;
  • Building relationships with universities and colleges through events and industry engagement activities.

Who Must You Be?

Skills

You are a social networker with a natural gift for persuasion and an ability to identify outstanding talent. Ideally, you have experience in a start-up environment and pride yourself on being a results-driven team player. Additional qualities include:

  • >5 years of successful recruitment experience;
  • A passion for hospitality and promoting the Ormond Group story;
  • Positivity and enthusiasm;
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills;
  • Confident, sociable, with strong communication skills;
  • Ability to see ideas through from inception to execution, multitask, and perform under pressure;
  • Familiarity with recruitment channels and tools; and
  • Active social media presence and network.
