Role Description:

The Takaful Advisor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Petaling Jaya, with flexibility for partial work-from-home arrangements.

In this role, the advisor engages with prospective and existing customers to understand their financial protection needs and recommend suitable Shariah-compliant takaful plans.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, preparing proposals, explaining product features and benefits, and supporting customers through the enrollment and claims processes.

The advisor is also expected to build and maintain long-term relationships, follow up on policies, and participate in sales campaigns, training, and community outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Strong customer engagement and communication skills, including the ability to explain financial and takaful concepts clearly and professionally.
• Sales aptitude and relationship-building capabilities, with a focus on prospecting, follow-up, and long-term customer service.
• Basic financial literacy and interest in Islamic finance, including understanding of Shariah principles and takaful concepts (training will be provided).
• Good organizational and time-management skills to manage appointments, documentation, and ongoing policy servicing.
• Comfort with digital tools and online platforms for remote consultations, sales tracking, and customer communication.
• Minimum qualification of a diploma or equivalent; a degree in finance, business, or related fields is an advantage.
• Previous experience in insurance, takaful, banking, or financial services is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with high ethical standards and a customer-centric mindset.
