Job summary

BB Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Selangor is seeking an experienced seamstress to mend, alter, and construct garments according to customers' needs. You will measure with tape, operate sewing machines, alter hems, fit garments, and communicate specifications with clients to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Proven sewing experience and knowledge of fabrics and techniques are essential, along with the ability to work under time constraints.

Qualifications

Proven sewing experience.

Responsibilities

Accurately measuring customers using tape measures to ensure proper fit of garments.
Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.
Altering or repairing customers' garments and other articles, including hemming, mending, lengthening, and adjusting seams.
Fitting garments on customers to determine alterations required.
Constructing garments and articles according to customers’ specifications.
Labelling garments and recording alterations.
Communicating with customers to determine specifications and preferences.
Using irons and pressing machines to remove creases.
