Job summary

Deloitte seeks a Transfer Pricing professional in Malaysia to lead TP engagements, perform analyses, benchmarking, and documentation. You will manage client relationships, ensure timely, high-quality deliverables, and contribute to business development.

The role requires 2–4 years of TP experience, a relevant degree, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, with MS Office skills. Candidates must be resident in Malaysia or have the right to work in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Economics/Taxation/Law from a recognized university.
• 2–4 years of transfer pricing experience; industry experience welcome.
• Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia; data analytics knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transfer pricing engagements: analyses, benchmarking, and documentation.
• Review benchmarking analyses and sections prepared by consultants.
• Develop TP planning strategies and advise on structuring engagements.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact and relationship manager.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Assist BD efforts: proposals and research.
• Coach consultants and interns; provide internal training.
• Candidates must be resident in Malaysia or have the right to work in Malaysia.

Work you’ll do

• Lead full workstreams of transfer pricing engagements including functional analyses, benchmarking, and TP documentation.
• Review benchmarking analyses and technical sections prepared by consultants / interns.
• Develop TP planning strategies and provide technical input to structuring engagements.
• Serve as the main day-to-day contact for client communication and relationship management.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
• Assist the team with business development efforts including preparing proposals, research, etc.
• Coach consultants and interns including undertaking internal training.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Taxation/ Law from recognized universities or any professional qualification in similar disciplines.
• Between 2-4 years of transfer pricing work experience, preferably with another professional services firm.
• Candidates with relevant experience from industry would also be eligible.
• Knowledge and experience of data analytics would be preferred, but not a must.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Leadership and people management skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
