As a HRBP, you are responsible for HR matters for the country Business Unit (BU). You will work with the Regional HR team and business leaders to align business objectives, HR practices across the regional BU, and contribute to the broader business strategy. This role requires collaboration with other HR team members in other countries' BUs and local HR compliance teams. You should be comfortable working in a complex cross-matrix structure.

You are responsible for the HR matters of a Business Unit in Singapore, playing a pivotal role in implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support the Business Unit in alignment with business objectives. This involves building strong partnerships with senior business leaders, collaborating closely with regional HR teams, and contributing to strategic HR decisions. You will oversee key HR functions, foster collaboration in a complex cross-matrix organisational structure, and shape the workforce to meet the organisation's evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the business unit on HR-related matters such as the entire employee lifecycle, onboarding and offboarding activities, talent management, employee retention, compensation and benefits, performance management, retirement, etc.
  • Providing HR recommendations to key leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and HR planning.
  • Implementing and managing BU HR programs for the country BU.
  • Monitoring headcount and staff costs against budget, ensuring adherence to the planned budget and supporting decision-making with data.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and serving as the key HR advisor within the business unit.
  • Managing HR-related risks, ensuring proper documentation and reporting, and compliance with local laws and firm policies.
  • Leveraging HR metrics and analytics to inform strategic decisions and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Managing performance management processes, providing tools and guidance for effective feedback and development plans.
  • Fostering employee engagement by partnering with leaders to create a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Providing support on other HR practices and assisting in ad-hoc projects/tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a similar setting/industry preferred. An IHRP certification is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and regional HR teams to deliver strategic HR solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore’s employment laws and regulations.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with senior management, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex priorities within tight time constraints.
  • Experience in performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • High maturity, adaptability, and accountability.
