Work you’ll do

  • The candidate shall supervise the activities of the staff assigned under him/her including training, instruction, task assignment, work review, performance evaluation, and administration of progressive discipline as needed.
  • The candidate shall build and maintain respectful, positive working relationships with clients, staff, managers, and other members of the Firm. S/he shall provide conflict resolution, as needed.
  • S/he shall provide support in practice development and marketing activities.
  • S/he shall support HR team in taking interviews.
  • The role will include but not limited to quote approval, identify month-end journal entries (software deferrals, revenue adjustments, etc.), prepare supporting documentation, and communicate to accounting department for booking; revenue simulations based on various assumptions; impact analysis of the application of key policies; support to Sales as part of the deal structuring; and review of contractual clauses.
  • In addition to the above, s/he shall prepare a variety of financial reports including periodic reports, year-end closing, payroll-related reports, and other reports as required by his/her clients.

Requirements

  • Education. Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or any equivalent or Business School diploma.
  • Work Experience. At least 7 years of tax, accounting, and/or payroll-related work experience. Preferably, 2 to 3 years of experience in a Big 4 Firm.
  • Certifications. Preferably, Certified Public Accountant or with other relevant certifications.
  • Other Qualifications.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with various stakeholders (sales, operations, finance community, auditors, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, ability to articulate point of view in a clear and assertive fashion.
  • Ability to focus on the overall picture, solve problems, and provide operational and decision support.
