The Position

As T&E Compliance Analyst for our Implementation project, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for employee expense claim auditing and compliance handling. Your responsibilities include actively contributing to the project team led by Business Process Management (BPM), and driving assessment, documentation, training, and knowledge sharing for a successful business service transition to Roche Services and Solutions (RSS).

The Opportunity
  1. You actively contribute to the Chugai OneT&E implementation project as Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  2. You are responsible for assessing compliance of employee expense claims in a timely and accurate manner, against the Company’s Policies, Procedures, and External regulatory requirements. You document all compliance assessment activities in Concur during claim processing.
  3. You escalate issues and recommend resolution plans promptly to the RSS Line Manager and Affiliate where required.
  4. You support the preparation of reports and training materials periodically to address updates to the compliance monitoring process (e.g., review manuals, return reason coding). In collaboration with the Reporting Line Manager, you make recommendations to the Global Lead, T&E Compliance for process improvements and participate in solution provision activities.
  5. You participate in the transition project by performing user testing activities and developing the T&E Compliance checklist in accordance with relevant policies, regulatory requirements, and procedures. You maintain active communication with the local Japan affiliate during and after the transition to ensure project objectives are met.
Who you are
  1. You hold a University degree or higher (preferably in business, law, or finance) with more than 3 years’ experience in compliance reviews or equivalent, especially in highly regulated environments or audit firms.
  2. You possess strong proficiency in English and Japanese. Good communication skills are essential for supporting our counterparts in Japan.
  3. You have strong analytical skills and can assess facts with professional skepticism.
  4. You are capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  5. Candidates with project-related experience will have an added advantage.
