The Position

Coordinates and manages compliance activities for the assigned affiliate in the assigned division. Evaluates existing and evolving healthcare and privacy compliance, ethics, and related legislation and regulations, along with marketplace/industry dynamics, to determine requirements for Roche policies and procedures. Assesses employee expense claims in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with the Company’s Policies, Procedures, and External regulatory requirements.

Manages and completes internal and external reporting regarding the affiliate's healthcare, privacy, ethics, and related compliance. Responds to inquiries, providing guidance and resources to support business operations, teams, and individuals in adhering to compliance standards. Escalates actual or potential compliance violations or other issues to relevant colleagues or management, following local, regional, and global policies and procedures.

Role Responsibilities:

Operational

• Assess compliance of employee expense claims promptly and accurately against the Company’s Policies, Procedures, and External regulatory requirements.
• Document all compliance assessment activities in Concur during claim processing.
• Escalate issues and recommend resolution plans promptly to the RSS Line Manager and Affiliate as required.
• Support the preparation of reports and training materials to address updates to the compliance monitoring process (e.g., review manuals, return reason coding).
• Collaborate with the Reporting Line Manager to recommend process improvements and participate in solution provision activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business, law, or finance.
• Over 2 years of experience in compliance reviews or equivalent, in highly regulated environments or audit firms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess facts critically.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both written and spoken English and Japanese, supporting Roche Japan counterparts.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
