Standard Chartered is seeking a knowledgeable IT professional to drive stability and continuous improvement across global tech environments. You will collaborate with diverse teams to resolve issues, prioritise work, and coordinate BAU support for audits and testing.

The role involves managing incidents, defects, service requests, and regulatory-aligned backlogs while ensuring timely UAT and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists with production stability and incident resolution by leading defect triage and root-cause analysis.
• Balances business needs, technical debt and regulatory requirements for backlog prioritisation.
• Provides global BAU support for Internal Audit and 2nd Line Assurance, coordinating user testing and communications.
• Ensures incidents, defects, service requests, and technical issues are managed to minimise disruption.
• Ensures UAT is completed on time and issues are escalated to development teams.

Job description

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping reliable and effective technology solutions within a complex global environment. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to drive continuous improvement, solve challenges, and enable better business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with production stability and issue resolution by leading defect triage, coordinating root-cause analysis, managing incident resolution, and ensuring critical business issues are prioritised and resolved with minimal disruption to users.
• Assists with technical backlog prioritisation by balancing business needs, technical debt, platform resilience, risk reduction, and regulatory requirements, ensuring engineering effort is focused on the highest-value outcomes.
• Provides global Business As Usual (BAU) support for Internal Audit and 2nd Line Assurance teams, coordinating user testing and feedback, managing stakeholder communications on outages and service issues, and tracking remediation activities through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure incidents, defects, service requests, and technical issues are effectively managed to minimise business disruption and maintain user confidence
• Ensure technical priorities, testing activities, remediation efforts, user communications, and backlog delivery are aligned with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and operational needs
• Ensures User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed in time and any issues escalated back to the development teams.
