• This is a basic-level position in Applications Support.
• Strives for high levels of client satisfaction for the products/solutions supported.
• Capable of addressing questions regarding the installation, configuration, and customization of supported products, sometimes with reference to others.
• Responds to simple problems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develops a good skill level of expertise on supported products and solutions.
• May research and resolve higher-level support issues with supervision.
• May work on billable engagements.
• Has awareness of new services available.
• Escalates product issues to a more senior analyst when unable to resolve them with available tools and skills.
• Attempts to reproduce reported problems.
• Documents resolutions to reported problems.
• Has awareness of applicable work products and activities.
• Identifies product and documentation deficiencies.
• Produces artifacts such as support requests, support tickets, and responses to incident responses.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
• Associate degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in application support and systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL and proficiency in SQL queries.
• Experience in support of Windows-based/web-based applications.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems (Windows Server 2016 onwards).
• End user application support experience with client-server and web applications on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develops competence through structured work assignments.
• Uses existing procedures to solve routine problems.
• Receives instruction and guidance from others.
• Works on a rotating shift basis: morning shift (9am-5pm) and evening shift (2pm-10pm).
• Participates in weekly support phone rotation for off-hours client calls (4am-4pm and 4pm-4am), with about 1-2 calls per week, resolving issues within 15 minutes or escalating as needed.
