Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a System Test Engineer for Value Engineering in Johor, Malaysia. You will evaluate VAVE initiatives, perform system testing and failure analysis on instruments, and work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to support product improvements and NPIs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years in analytical instrumentation, with strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
• 2–5 years analytical instrumentation experience.
• Statistical analysis capabilities a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis on customer-returned instruments and components (RMA/DOA).
• Lead evaluation and validation activities to support VAVE initiatives and cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Log, track and document defects, test results, investigation findings and corrective actions to closure.
