Job description

We are seeking a System Engineer - SCADA to join our team for the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the SCADA system.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, configuration, and integration of the SCADA system.

Coordinate with system vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and system compatibility.

Review technical documents, drawings, and specifications related to the SCADA system.

Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of SCADA interfaces with other subsystems.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and cybersecurity requirements.

Participate in technical meetings, site inspections, and factory acceptance tests (FAT).

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering (or a related field).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SCADA system design, integration, or commissioning.

Proficiency in SCADA software and communication protocols.

Knowledge of railway systems, signaling interfaces, and IT network architecture is an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Familiarity with SCADA integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), Access Control Systems, and other related subsystems.

Hands-on experience with Testing & Commissioning of SCADA systems.
