Job Responsibilities
1. Quality system management:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, and others.
- Develop and maintain quality system documentation, including policies, procedures, and manuals, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS and drive improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and overall quality performance.
2. Customer audit management:
- Lead preparations, coordination, and follow-up actions for customer quality audits.
- Ensure customer-specific requirements (CSRs) are met and address audit findings or non-conformances promptly.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to meet or exceed their quality expectations.
3. Business Process Optimization:
- Conduct internal and hierarchical audits, analyze, and optimize business processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
- Collaborate with departments like R&D, production, and purchasing to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
4. Regulatory and Standards Compliance:
- Ensure operations comply with relevant automotive industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in global automotive quality standards and customer requirements, adjusting the QMS proactively.
5. Team & Training:
- Coach the quality team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Organize training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of quality standards and practices.
6. Reporting & Communication:
- Regularly report on the operation of the QMS, customer audit outcomes, and process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align quality objectives and expectations.
Qualifications
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
2. Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in quality management, especially within the auto parts industry.
- Extensive experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certification processes and managing customer audits.
- Familiarity with quality standards of major global automotive OEMs (e.g., Toyota, Honda, BMW, Volkswagen, Ford).
3. Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of QMS, Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), and automotive industry standards.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methods such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
4. Ability & Communication Skills:
- Ability to drive process improvements across departments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (required for factories in Malay).
