Qualifications

• Plan, prepare, and deliver swimming and physical education lessons that promote water safety, skill development, and student engagement
• Develop appropriate teaching materials and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
• Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering to all health, safety, and safeguarding requirements
• Assess and monitor student progress, ensuring continuous growth and achievement appropriate to age and ability
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues on student development and progress
• Support co-curricular activities, including coaching, school events, and student engagement initiatives
• Perform administrative duties such as attendance tracking, assessment marking, and supervision during activities or examinations
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s academic and extracurricular programmes
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in coaching Swimming, teaching Health, and Physical Education at the IB Middle Years and Primary Years Programme levels (PYP and MYP)
• Degree or Certification related to Education and Physical Education, with a focus on Swimming
• Valid swimming coaching, lifeguard, CPR, or first aid certification is an advantage
• Strong understanding of water safety practices, safeguarding, and risk management in aquatic environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and a collaborative approach
